Your first visit to Apex Dental Centers promises to be a pleasant experience. You can help with the right preparation beforehand:
- Make a list of questions to ask our office, so you won't forget anything the day of your appointment.
- If you have dental insurance, remember to bring your insurance card with you.
When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all health and insurance information forms that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. If you wish to expedite your visit, click on the FORMS tab to download these forms and fax them to us in advance.
Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. We will perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums (including an oral cancer screening), your occlusion, or bite, and also any cosmetic issues will be addressed at this time. We will also take x-rays of your teeth to assist us in diagnosis. In most cases, we will also clean your teeth during this visit and give oral hygiene instructions to help you care for your own teeth. All these procedures will provide us with information to assess your existing dental condition and determine the appropriate treatment for you.
Confirmations and Cancellations: Our patients are seen by appointment, so please call in advance so our staff can reserve a time for you.
We respect our patients' time and make every effort to remain on schedule. Some visits are more complicated than initially anticipated and emergencies also arise that could delay us.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, we would appreciate at least 24 hours notice so that your reserved time may be made available for other patients. If you are going to be late, please notify us. We offer courtesy calls as a reminder.
